Today, the team behind the Opera browser released a new stable version of their product. Opera 48 is now available for download and brings the Time Zone Converter feature, the Screen Capture tool, and more.
Time Zone and Unit Converter
The unit converter can now recognize an array of Unicode subscript and superscript forms, such ½ ft, 1⁄4 mi or even ³⁄₄₇ gal.

Snapshot - the screen capture tool
The sidebar feature, first introduced in an experimental build named "Neon", now comes with a new Snap button. Here is how it looks.
A new keyboard shortcut will allow you to capture the screenshot of a page quickly. By default, it is set to Ctrl + Shift + 5.
If you find no use for this feature, right click the side bar and untick the option "Snap" as shown below.
Easier search
Opera’s search pop up tool allows the user to search the text highlight on a web page. You can select some text and search for it with your default search engine in a new tab.
Improved bookmark importing options
The browser comes with the ability to import bookmarks from Edge and Yandex.
Here is the list of where you can import your bookmarks from:

Engine updated
Opera 48 runs on the tuned-up version of Chromium version 61. Amongst various changes, this version supports JavaScript modules, which helps to unify the way modular JavaScript can be written. Pages can now also request to clear cookies, caches and other data associated with it by sending a new HTTP header. In addition to functional changes, it delivers improved stability and security.

The only thing holding me from switching to Opera after Firefox drops legacy add-on support is not being able to open downloads instead of choosing a location and saving. I know that opening technically saves files too but the browser handles when to delete them automatically.
