Opera 29 Developer, Opera 28 beta: bookmarks and tab synchronization revived

If you still remember the good old Opera 12 browser, you must be familiar with its Opera Link service, which provided an easy way to sync bookmarks between your devices. Unfortunately, when Opera became Chropera, Opera Link was discontinued. Now, after several months of development, the Opera team has finally decided to revive this feature back into their new product, the Chromium-based browser, which retains the Opera name. As of this moment, the developer version of the new Opera (which is not recommended for daily use) features complete synchronization of tabs and bookmarks. Also, Opera Beta (which is a bit more stable) has bookmarks synchronization only.

In Opera 29, you can click the Opera menu → Recent tabs in Windows and Linux. In Mac and Ubuntu with Unity refer to the History → Recent tabs menu item. There you find all the tabs which were opened on recently used devices, e.g. if you switched from your smartphone to PC and vice versa.

Remember the Tab Audio Indicator feature? In Opera 29 it too is enabled by default. At this moment, Opera 29 includes 220 bugfixes over previous versions of the browser.

Opera 28 beta also includes a few interesting changes. For instance, it synchronizes bookmarks between all your computers and mobile devices, and shows bookmarks in search tips as well:
