Only signed-in users now see YouTube recommendations

YouTube no longer shows recommended videos to users who are not signed into their Google account or are in incognito mode. Instead, the platform now simply displays the homepage without any videos or suggestions. Previously, even without being logged in or in incognito mode, Google would still load some suggested clips.

Now, users are encouraged to start watching videos on YouTube, but the homepage offers nothing to watch. Some simple tests reveal that even when searching for something on YouTube does not make it provide suggestions. Changing the device type and size doesn't change the situation.

The situation has attracted attention on various social media platforms, with users reporting that even after clearing their browsing history or disabling it, they are still not receiving recommendations. Surprisingly, some of them stopped receiving them after logging into their account again.

Some speculate that YouTube has invented this change to force everyone to use Google Account, and keep history tracking on.
