Microsoft continues their work on updating icons for built-in Windows 10 apps. A set of new icons has been revealed that features the updated icon appearance for Microsoft Photos app and Planner following the modern Fluent Design.
Here are all the new icons which are known at the moment of this writing.
Microsoft Photos app
The app has received a new colorful icon, will be available for both Core and Desktop editions of Windows 10.

Groove Music
Solitaire Collection
Movies & TV
MSN Weather
Calendar
Camera
Snip & Sketch
Planner
Microsoft Planner has received a new icon, following the designs of icons for PowerPoint, OneNote, Calendar for Android, Teams, and Yammer.

The next screenshot demonstrate the new Start Menu layout with a few new icons.
It is not know yet when the new icons will reach the production branch. They are expected to appear for Insiders in the future.

Honestly this is getting more tolerable, and I’m glad years of bitching have finally paid off.
Now I wonder how long till they deprecate UWP and restore the Control Panel…
I wish they’d deprecate the UWP Onenote for Windows 10 and start updating Win32 OneNote 2016.
The UWP OneNote still has no offline files, no customisable quick access toolbar, no paste option pop-up when pasting via ctrl+v, lacks a load of options… Heck even OneNote for Mac has most of these, other than offline files. Typical Microsoft… Keeping the word version for Windows.
