Some users are reporting issues with the People Hub app in Windows 10. Along with My People, the app provides a useful way to store and work with your email addresses, phone numbers and other contact information.
For a number of users, contacts just disappear from the People Hub app. Here is a post from Reddit which describes the situation.
I went to bed last night with all my contacts. When I woke up I only had 4. I haven’t done anything different with my phone lately so they just disappeared overnight.
My Calendar was completely blank too. Doing the Synchronize option doesn’t fix anything. When I log onto the web I can see all my contacts, emails, and calendar events.
After 3 hours of trying to figure out what was wrong everything just magically came back. Go figure…
I talked to my dad he had issues with his Microsoft account on his phone this morning too.
So, if your contacts are missing, you need to force a sync. Due to some back-end issue, the address book may not have reached your PC.
To fix the issue, do the following.
- Go to the app's settings.
- Right-click on your account and click Synchronise as shown below:
This is a temporary solution. The main fix should be done on the server side by developers to resolve the issue completely.
Are you affected by this issue? Have you successfully applied the mentioned workaround? Tell us in the comments.
