Along with the official announcement of Windows 11 22H2 "2022 Update", Microsoft has also confirmed the upcoming update for Windows 10. Those consumers and customers who stick with Windows 10, will receive Windows 10 version 22H2 this fall, in October.
In October 2022, Microsoft is going to issue the first wave of the "Moment" sets of features to Windows 11 users. It will include tabs for File Explorer, and a revamped version of the Photos app. But the Redmond firm doesn't forget about Windows 10 users.
Alongside with Windows 11 "Moment 1" update, a newer version of Windows 10 will be available for upgrade.
... for customers who are using a device that is not eligible for Windows 11, Windows 10 is a great place to be. Windows 10 will be serviced through Oct. 14, 2025 and we have announced that the next feature update to Windows 10, version 22H2, is coming next month, continuing to offer you both support and choice with Windows.
As you could expect, Windows 10 now has much lower priority for Microsoft. The company is focused on its successor, so Windows 10 22H2 won't get much new. The only novelty is the updated News and Interest pane. It takes into account the on-screen location of the taskbar and will be displayed in the right place for both its vertical and top position. Currently, Windows 10 is the last OS version that allows you to move the taskbar to any screen edge.
Most likely Windows 10 22H2 will be a small cumulative update, an enablement package that will activate the taskbar feature, and may or may not include a few more bugfixes and general improvements.

This new taskbar feature won’t be enabled by this EKB as W10 insiders in 21H2 also got it so 22H2 in the end will be the first Win10 Feature Update based on 2004 that won’t get its own exclusive features, if Microsoft won’t share what will 22H2 of Win10 will give.
