Microsoft Store will receive a significant performance boost with the release of the latest update. The Redmond firm is already testing the improvements with insiders from the Dev and Canary channels. It should not take long for Microsoft to release the new Store version to a wider audience.
The improved Microsoft Store now starts several times faster, and its sections also load faster. Microsoft notes that it is now more stable and reliable.
It is specially noted that the Microsoft Store app now loads product pages 40% faster. Another improvement is the "Buy" button which now appears 1.5 times faster. The change is has become possible thanks to faster licensing handling.
Finally, splash screen management has been updated for smoother app launches.
All the improvements are part of the Microsoft Store version 22403.
In other news, Microsoft has added a new page to the Microsoft Store app. Dubbed "What's New", it allows users to easily learn about new features, updates, and experimental features without stumbling upon them by accident. The newly added page could also show the Store app version, so you could clearly see that you just received a new version, and check if it is the most recent one.
