Microsoft makes the new Account Manager in Start more convenient

Some time ago, Microsoft has started releasing a new feature of the Start menu called "Account Manager". It is currently available to Windows 11 Insiders. Technically, it is a new user account menu that appears like a small dashboard. In addition to user switching and sign out commands, the new pane includes extra details about Microsoft subscriptions. However, its first implementation had some rough surfaces.

The main problem that the Account Manager shifts the accent focus from the session management to subscription. It shows its status, tries to coax you to get one, but makes it harder to simple exit the user session. The sign out command has been buried in a submenu.

As anticipated, this move caused a wave of criticism. In response to the feedback received, Microsoft implemented some enhancements to the new feature.

The latest build 22635.4145, released to insiders in the Beta channel, finally includes the direct "Sign out" command, prominently located right in the "Account Manager" dashboard. So you can save your time when signing out from your user account.

However, the fast user switching is not yet that fast. To pick a different profile, you have to click on the three dot button and pick an account from the menu.

The improvement appears to be available to everyone, without you having to deal with ViVeTool or registry tweaks.
