According to the updated post in the Windows Insider blog, the roll-out of Windows 11 version 24H2 is now on hold. It is currently unknown what is the reason for this move. But the Redmond firm is going to resume the roll-out in "coming weeks."
Microsoft started testing Windows 11 24H2 last month among insiders in the Release Preview channel. Builds 26100.xxxx ship some of the new features, including HDR background support, energy saver, Sudo for Windows, Rust in the Windows kernel, support for Wi-Fi 7, voice clarity, Bluetooth support for Low Energy Audio devices, and more.
On the UI side, Quick Settings now support taskbar scrolling, the ability to create archives in 7-Zip and TAR formats in Explorer (in addition to ZIP).
It is worth noting that there were ISO images for Windows 11 24H2, and those remain available.
So only the Windows Update patch has been pulled out. The ISO image installs Windows 11 Build 26100.560, but after joining the Release Preview channel you were supposed to get Windows 11 Build 26100.710 via Windows Update.
