Surface Duo owners noticed that their dual-screen smartphones receive a February firmware update. At the time of writing this article, there is no official word from Microsoft on what is new in this update. Microsoft finally published the official changelog for this update on February 19. The build number is 2121.115.52, and it is tiny – you need only 66 MB to install it.
After installing the update, Surface Duo reports Android security updates from February 5. The release contains general improvements and security patches from Google. On February 19, Microsoft published the changelog for this update with the following highlights.

Do note that the update is available for unlocked models only. Surface Duo from AT&T will get the new firmware in a couple of days once the carrier approves it.
Needless to say, the February update is still based on Android 10 (you can tell from the size of the update). Microsoft does not comment on when Android 11 is coming to Surface Duo, but rumors say that the new Android version will be available this Summer.
Surface Duo is now available not only in the US but also in the UK, France, Germany and Canada. Surface Duo buyers in Canada will also get free Surface Earbuds.
