It looks like the Microsoft Edge browser will soon lose another feature. This time, the developers plan to discontinue support for the Collections tool, which resembled a notebook, allowing you to save links, images, and notes on a specific topic in one place. A notice about the feature's deprecation was spotted in the Edge Dev Channel preview.

The message that appears in the browser interface says the follow: Collections is being retired. You will no longer be able to add new items to Collections. To keep your saved content, you can export it, or move all pages to your Favorites before removal.
Microsoft offers two options for saving data, but neither is a complete replacement. When you move content to Favorites, only webpage links will be saved, while attached images and text notes will be deleted. You can also export the data to a CSV file, but then you won't be able to view the information in a user-friendly interface.
It's worth noting that rumors about the end of Collections support have been circulating for several months, and it appears this will happen in the foreseeable future. The exact date for the feature's final removal is still unknown.
