Mojang Studios and Microsoft are experimenting with bringing AI to Minecraft. They are trying to make it more accessible to gamers. The information comes from Semafor that refers to its own sources. Moreover, Microsoft has already held an internal presentation where it demonstrated a version of Minecraft with large-scale integration of the OpenAI platform.
This was also confirmed by the well-known insider WalkingCat, who have posted on a demo of Minecraft powered by artificial intelligence. According to the video, players will be able to create their own buildings, locations, and even NPCs using natural language queries in the game's command line.
Also, AI will be able to simplify complex creative commands and, for example, teleportation.

The technology uses the OpenAI platform, but without the Prometheus layer, as in the new Bing chatbot. Instead, Mojang Studios and Microsoft want to integrate Github Copilot, a cloud service that helps developers and programmers auto-complete code they write.
The AI will be able to generate the Minecraft code by interpreting player's commands and then executing them in real time. The AI can also recognize voice commands.
While not everything is smooth in the demo video, it gives us an idea of how things should work. Artificial intelligence can help Minecraft players and developers better understand the game's core and make a breathtaking gameplay.
At the moment, it is not confirmed that Microsoft will actually add Github's Copilot to Minecraft, but it may definitely happen.
