Microsoft has released the official ISO images for Windows 10, version 21H2 Insider (buid 19044.1202). The same build is currently available in the Release Preview channel. So now you can download it and do a clean install of the latest new version of Windows 10.
The Release Preview builds are quite stable. Despite being a pre-release version, it comes with a little number of changes compared to the current stable version. Similar to 20H2 and 21H1, the 21H2 update will be a small cumulative update for Windows 10 version 2004 with a few minor changes. All the mentioned Windows 10 versions share the same code base.
So, Windows 10 version 21H2 is based on the same code base as versions 2004, 20H2, and 21H1. Moreover, all changes from versions 20H2, 21H1 and 21H2 were added in 2004 with cumulative updates. They are just hidden and need to be enabled with an "enablement" package. Most likely, switcthing to 21H2 right now won't affect your user experience in a bad way.

Super, thanks Sergey! Will download and keep it handy. I am going no way close to 11 unless then drop all the pre-requisites. :D
I will probably stay with Xubuntu. Time will tell.
The Win10 Insider Preview 21H2 ISOs actually contain 19044.1165 and not 19044.1202.
in other words, they’re mis-labeled or mis-numbered on the Insider Preview ISO download page.
Microsoft made a booboo on that one
Confirm, they sure did mislabel ISO. As with 21H1, this most likely be the Release ISO with install.wim. MCT will have this compressed to install.esd on Oct 5th.
