A new build of Office 2016 is out. This time it is 16.0.6741.2014. The update is available for participants of the Office Insider program. Here is what is new in this update.
Here are the announced changes and updates.
- Archiving and de-cluttering: Ready to de-clutter your Inbox without worries of losing items? You can now quickly move an item stored in your Inbox or any other folder to an archive folder. Once moved, the archived items remain accessible and can easily be restored to their original location.
- Collaboration made easy with Office 365 Groups: A group is a shared workspace for email, conversations, files, and calendar events where group members can collaborate and quickly get stuff done. You can now browse, join, and even create groups from within Outlook, as well as add the ones to follow most actively to your Favorites for easy access.
- Do more with Power BI: If you have a Power BI subscription, you can save and publish workbook items, such as charts, ranges and tables, to powerbi.com and interact with that data in a dashboard format.

Winaero greatly relies on your support. You can help the site keep bringing you interesting and useful content and software by using these options:
I don’t use Microsoft Office 2016 because of Microsoft is tracking lots of people’s documents all over the world!
I use LibreOffice instead
Good for you.
I wonder if LibreOffice has the complete support for Microsoft documents and especially for formatting.
There is no way to join the insider program unless you purchase Office 2016 in some form. That being said, this insider preview is the fastest Office I have ever seen. Its startup time is instantaneous, and it works really well. I do not put much stock in people who talk about spying, etc with MS. They are on this year’s list of the world’s 131 most reputable companies. This disproves all those spying claims!
