Microsoft has released Android 13-based Windows Subsystem for Android

Microsoft today released an update for Windows Subsystem for Android to Insiders running Windows 11. Version 2211.40000.11.0 is now available in all insider channels, and is notable for general reliability, and performance improvements.

Earlier, it was available to WSA Insiders, which is a dedicated app preview channel, separate from the Windows Insider program. Now it is available in the Store to Windows Insiders.

Windows Subsystem for Android 2211.40000.11.0 comes with the following highlights.

  • Windows Subsystem for Android updated to Android 13
  • Improvements in boot performance
  • Improvements to mouse click input
  • Improvements in clipboard stability
  • Improvements to application resizing
  • Reliability improvements to media files opening in Windows
  • Jumplist entries for applications supporting app shortcuts
