Microsoft has closed the Windows 10 Beta Channel and will transition all participating Windows Insiders to the Release Preview Channel. This move comes just a few months after the company revived the Beta Channel in June, marking the first Beta build release in three years, following the last one in 2021.
The company didn't provide any explanation and didn't reveal if the channel can be revived in the future. So for Insiders, Windows 10 22H2 will only be hosted in the Release Preview channel.
This will be the last time we release a Windows 10 build to the Beta Channel as we will be shutting down the Beta Channel for Windows 10, said Microsoft
The company didn't mention when it is going to close the Release Preview channel, but obviously it will not live for long. Windows 10 is entering its final year of mainstream support, with its end-of-life date set for October 2025. After that, users will have two options: upgrade to Windows 11 or purchase the Extended Security Update (ESU) program, which provides an additional 12 months of security updates for a cost of $30.

I think its confusing to all Windows Insider, since Microsoft are focusing their effort on “improving” Windows 11, while they just backport any features found in Windows 11 to Windows 10 21/22H2 via monthly, and preview updates. I am sure some users are hesitant to switch to Windows 11, due to some issues on some games and applications getting screwed by a feature or monthly update.
