Microsoft Edge Gets a New Logo

Microsoft Edge Icon Fluent Big 256

Microsoft unveils a new logo for the Chromium-based Edge browser. The new logo features the E letter combined with a wave (for surfing the web). It looks modern, following the Fluent Design language that Microsoft is using these day for Office and Windows 10X icons.

Here is how it looks:

The new logo has been discovered in the easter egg which is mentioned on Twitter. By entering edge://surf/ in the address bar, you launch a mini game that reveals the new logo.

It isn't actually being used yet, but it is expected to appear in Insider builds of the browser soon.

As you may already know, Microsoft is currently using three channels to deliver updates to Edge Insiders. The Canary channel receives updates daily (except Saturday and Sunday), the Dev channel is getting updates weekly, and the Beta channel is updated every 6 weeks. The stable channel is also on its way to users.
