Microsoft has released a new Chromium-based Microsoft Edge build 99.0.1141.0 to the Dev Channel, which comes with mostly stability improvements and fixes.
There's only one new feature in today's build. It includes a new management policy to control if the Sign In Cta (call to action) On the Ntp (new tab page) is Enabled.
Traditionally, there a fixes. Those include:
- Fixed a crash on launch on Mac.
- Fixed a crash when choosing where to save a file that’s being downloaded.
- Fixed a crash when closing the browser.
- Fixed a crash when autofilling a form.
- Fixed a crash when editing saved autofill data.
- Fixed a crash when importing data from another browser.
Also, there is a number of mobile-specific fixes.
- Fixed a crash when signing into the browser.
- Fixed a crash when typing in the address bar.
- Fixed a crash when editing Favorites.
- Fixed a crash when using Read Aloud.
- Fixed a crash when using Citrix.
This build includes several known issues that you will find in the official announcement.
Existing Edge Dev users will receive the new build as soon as possible. To speed up the update process, open the browser, and select menu (Alt + F) > Help > About Microsoft Edge. This will initiate the update check.
