Microsoft Edge has got a tiny but useful improvement. The browser now allows you to quickly go to the specific day or the date range in the browsing history. The appropriate option is available on the full history page, which opens in a new tab rather than in a quick flyout.
Currently, Microsoft Edge shows the websites you've visited in two places. When you click the history button in the toolbar or press Ctrl + H, it opens a flyout where you can see the browsing data arranged into sections by day.
In addition, there is an advanced history page that opens when you click more (...) > Open history page.
It opens a new tab to the edge://history/all
built-in URL with a few more controls and options. Here's how it looks.
Now, he full history page received a new option. In addition to the ability to clear the history or browse it with pre-defined date intervals on the left, there is a new date range filter. See the following screenshot.
The new date filter replaces the "Today", "Yesterday", "Last Week", and "Older" options on the left. Clicking on the new "Filter by date" button brings up a new menu, with "Today", "Yesterday", "Last Week" options along with two extra entries, "Date range" and "Clear filter".
By selecting the "Date range" option you can specify any custom date interval via a dialog with two date pickers. The "Clear filter" option resets the date range to the current day.
This feature is under a controlled roll-out. This means that even if you have the most recent build of the browser, you may not see it right now. As of this writing, it is only available to Insiders running Dev and Canary versions of Microsoft Edge. The Redmond firm is yet to announce it.
Besides the new history filter, Edge Canary has got the ability to pin a group of tabs. But this is not the only change to tab management that the browser receives. In its recent builds eagle-eyed insiders have noticed a "Workspaces" toggle option that may indicate the return of the eponymous feature.
Thanks to Leopeva for the tip.

Ok
I followed your instructions but I do not see the “Filter by date” option on the “edge://history/all” page as your screenshots suggest.

As for why this is not a standard feature on all web browsers is beyond me.
Absolutely stupid that such a simple feature is not part of basic functionality, and that this even needs to be something to report on.
