Microsoft Edge 125 stable is now available

Microsoft is now rolling out the stable version of Microsoft Edge 125, which brings with it general improvements, fixes, and a few new features. The full version is 125.0.2535.5.

What's new in Edge 125

Microsoft Defender Application Guard extension

Due to the deprecation of Application Guard, this extension will not be migrated to Manifest v3. The extensions for Edge, Chrome , and  Firefox , as well as the companion app in  the Microsoft Store, will no longer be available after May 2024. As an alternative, you can use AppLocker or Microsoft Edge Management Service policies to block unsecured browsers until MDAG is completely discontinued.

Component updates

Improved user interface for Purview copy/paste controls

Purview's Cut, Copy, and Paste functions are now more user-friendly as dialog boxes now automatically close when successful. The Embed in Supported Browsers setting allows organizations to categorize and protect content that end users can embed on both specific websites and supported browsers. For details, see Using Data Loss Prevention (DLP) for Endpoints .

New color indicator of workspaces - browser window outline

Each workspace has its own color, which is now used for the outline around the browser window. Previously, the color was applied to the entire tab bar in landscape orientation and to the title bar in portrait tab orientation. This feature is being rolled out gradually and may not be available to all users.

Full-fledged favorites panel in workspaces

Workspaces now display the entire set of items under Favorites in the Favorites panel. There is also a special workspace folder on the panel. Previously, the Favorites panel only showed items from the workspace folder. This feature is being rolled out gradually and may not be available to all users.
