Microsoft Edge 122 has been released

Microsoft has started rolling out the stable version of Microsoft Edge 122 (122.0.2365.52), which brings with it several new features, changes, and bug fixes.

What's new in Microsoft Edge 122

  • The briefcase icon, indicating that the page is controlled by enterprise policies, has been moved to the address bar next to the lock icon. By clicking this icon, users can view detailed information about the security measures applied to this page. More information about this can be found on the Microsoft website .
  • The image enhancement feature has been removed from the browser.
  • The Microsoft Edge management service in Microsoft 365 now gives administrators the ability to select recommended policies. End users will be able to override the settings of these policies that were set by the administrator.
  • The Web Capture tool has been renamed to Screenshot. From now on, this feature allows you to take screenshots of the entire screen, supports artificial intelligence, optical character recognition (OCR) and image search via Bing. After taking a screenshot, a toolbar will appear on the screen, with which you can add text, arrows, shapes, or simply write a handwritten note on the image. Administrators can control the availability of the feature using the WebCaptureEnabled policy .
