Microsoft has posted a comprehensive note regarding AI-driven features to Windows 11, specifically designed to improve productivity, creativity, and system usability on Copilot+ PCs. AI agent in Settings
A key addition is the new AI agent in Settings, now available on Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ devices. This feature allows users to describe desired system changes in natural language, such as enabling quiet hours or connecting a Bluetooth device. The agent interprets the request and offers one-click actions to adjust settings, with support for hundreds of configurations across display, connectivity, and accessibility categories. Support for Intel and AMD-based Copilot+ PCs will follow in upcoming updates.

Click to Do
Click to Do, a context-aware assistant, now includes expanded capabilities. Users can generate documents using Copilot in Word, practice reading fluency with Reading Coach, or view selected text in Immersive Reader for improved comprehension.
The feature also integrates with Microsoft Teams, enabling direct messaging or meeting scheduling from recognized email addresses. Activation is possible via keyboard shortcuts, pen gestures, or the Start menu.
Photos app, Paint and Snipping tool
Creative tools have also received significant upgrades.
Photos app
The Photos app now features Relight, an AI-powered editing tool that allows users to add and adjust up to three virtual light sources within an image, with customizable intensity, color, and positioning. This functionality is currently available on Snapdragon X Series devices, with broader support in development.

Paint
Paint introduces two new AI features: Sticker Generator and Object Select. Sticker Generator creates custom stickers from text prompts, while Object Select uses AI to isolate and edit specific elements within an image. Both tools aim to make creative workflows simpler for users of all skill levels.

ReadingSnipping Tool
The Snipping Tool now includes Perfect Screenshot, an AI-powered capture mode that intelligently adjusts selection boundaries to fit on-screen content.

A new Color Picker feature allows users to extract color values in HEX, RGB, or HSL formats, with zoom functionality for precision.

Reading
While Perfect Screenshot is exclusive to Copilot+ PCs, Color Picker is available across all Windows 11 devices.
Copilot Vision
Copilot Vision is now generally available in the U.S., enabling real-time visual analysis of on-screen content. Users can ask questions about what they see, receive contextual guidance, and use the Highlights feature to follow step-by-step instructions within active applications. The experience is fully opt-in and user-controlled.

Game Assist in Microsoft Edge
Microsoft Edge gains Game Assist, accessible via the Win+G shortcut, which provides in-game access to Discord, Spotify, Twitch, and gaming guides. This integration aims to minimize context switching and enhance the overall gaming experience on Windows 11.

Quick Machine Recovery
System resilience has also improved. A new Quick Machine Recovery mechanism leverages the Windows Recovery Environment to automatically resolve common issues after unexpected restarts. The recovery interface hasReading been simplified, reducing wait times from 40 seconds to just 2 seconds on most devices running Windows 11 version 24H2.

These features are rolling out gradually via Controlled Feature Rollout. Users can speed up access by enabling “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available” in Windows Update settings.

Microsoft encourages Windows 10 users to plan their transition ahead of the October 14, 2025 end-of-support date, with Extended Security Updates available to support a secure migration.
