To celebrate one billion active Windows 10 users, Microsoft's Panos Panay has posted on his Instagram a video that shows the evolution of Windows, including Windows 10. The video reveals some features that are just about to appear for Insiders.
More specifically, the video reveals a new Start menu that will eventually come to Windows 10. The new Start menu is notable for having colorless boxes for pinned apps, without the accent color. It still retains Live Tiles.
The video showcases a new File Explorer. In fact it is still that modern UWP app that comes bundled in Windows 10 for a long, but now it has received a bunch of improvements. Microsoft priorities its development as it will be used by default in Windows 10.
Finally, you can spot a new context menu in the video. It plays nice with the Light theme of Windows 10, and has also received a 'Back' entry.
Last but not the least, the user interface of the calendar app and its appearance has changed:
