Microsoft Copilot, previously known as Bing Chat, has completed its preview phase and is now available to the public. In November, Microsoft announced the rebranding of Bing Chat and Bing Chat Enterprise to Copilot.
The company now positions Copilot as a daily assistant available to all users on the Bing search engine, Edge browser, Windows, and copilot.microsoft.com.
To utilize Copilot, a Microsoft account is the only requirement. Microsoft emphasizes that organizations and users can seamlessly integrate Copilot into their daily workflows.
The Business Data Secure AI Assistant operates under the Universal Commercial License Terms for Online Services, which aligns with other Microsoft online commercial services and includes a commitment to safeguarding customers' copyrights.
Copilot is accessible to Microsoft 365 business and education plan users, with plans to extend support to most Entra ID users in the future. Users who have already used Copilot during the public preview phase do not need to take any additional steps. Others can visit Copilot's website to explore and test the tool before implementing it more broadly.
