It’s really great to know that “Open”AI is going to be owned by a single megacorporation not known for openess; and that I won’t be able to use Windows without a resource-consuming robot nanny analyzing and second-guessing everything I do. It’s now a done deal, I’ll stay on 10 forever. I probably have to buy a stock of present-day hardware (started looking already) which is pretty silly but better than this trash. I’ll eventually get a secondary PC on Linux to use up-to-date hardware for compute-intensive tasks.
Twenty years of Windows use, and here we are. I watched it descending into a freakshow and how they ignored all the great stuff they had in 7 – jump lists, libraries, a fantastic star menu; and when I payed for 10 I wondered why I’m even doing this. Already run Linux on a secondary Nvme SSD.
