Microsoft has released Internet Explorer 11 with lots of improvements. This version has support for Windows 7 SP1 x86, Windows 7 SP1 x64, and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. However, Microsoft annoyingly shows you only the web installer by default. For those who need the offline installer for any of these OSes, here are direct links to the offline installers of Internet Explorer 11.
The following links are for the English version of IE11:
- Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 SP1 (32-bit)
- Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 SP1 (64-bit)
- Internet Explorer 11 for Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 (64-bit)
Please refer to the following page to get the offline installer for Internet Explorer 11 for other supported languages.

Just what I needed – many thanks.
These links don’t seem to work anymore, they just lead to the web installer (56MB).
The direct links still work for me.
lol, 56mb for web installer!
It is offline installer, not online.
nope,
it’s online installer :(
Try connecting from the web when you start its installer. It’s the offline installer which for some reason tries to connect online if some prerequisite updates are missing. Even the IE9 and IE10 installers behave this way. However if you disconnect from the web, it installs.

Thanks for the information. On my other laptops and desktops, I use the Offline mode for development purposes.
Thanks again!
You are welcome!
Even downloading “Internet Explorer 11 offline installer” it will also asks for web connection to instal its updates. A full package would be very welcome. Anyone knows of a “really full package”?
Thanks. (floripaplayer@gmail.com).
This will not install offline, tries to update from the web and then you have a choice, connect to the web or cancel.. so my vote is an Online installer
I have no idea what you are talking about.
Robin is right! If not all prerequisites are met, the installer tries to download them. Try it on a clean Win 7.
win8 32bit ???
