Windows 10 comes with a set of bundled apps which are installed for all users by default. Some of them like Calculator or Photos are intended to replace classic Windows apps. Others are new to Windows 10 and provide various online and offline services. One such app is the Contact Support app. If you found no use for this app, you might want to delete it. In this article, we will see how it can be done.
- Download the Uninstall Contact Support ZIP file I made to make it easy.
- Extract all files from the ZIP archive you downloaded to any desired folder, e.g. Desktop.
- Right click the Uninstall Contact Support.cmd file and select "Run as Administrator".
- Wait till the process is done.
- Restart Windows 10.
Behind this trick is an application called WIMTweak which manages Windows Packages and allows you to hide/unhide them from the Windows image (WIM) file. It works on offline images as well as online. WIMTweak was created by MSFN user Legolash2o, so credits for this awesome tool go to him.

Winaero greatly relies on your support. You can help the site keep bringing you interesting and useful content and software by using these options:
there is something to uninstall the edge?
Hmm, let me see.
Absolutely NOT! It´s part of the f*** Windows 10 OS, believe it or not. Try to uninstall Winload, and you will see what i mean…. Bill is such a nasty boy!
Yes a edge free windows 10 would be really nice, quite frankly i can’t understand why ms
had to make that s**t mandatory smh lol
And thanks for your hard work Segey! :)
Nice site with a lot of good information.
THank you Peter
If you want an edge free windows, use the LTSB build.
Will all of these app uninstallers be eventually implemented in the Winaero Tweaker app?
Time will tell.
Sergey,
Thank you so much, i use LTSB ( desktop version ) and can now finally remove the remaining annoyance of Contact support and Feedback !
Can i ask if it would be possible to tweak the native start menu power button, so one could hovver over this to get shutdown options instead of having to click twice?
Thanks again
Unfortunately, it is not possible.
How do I reverse this/reactivate the app again?
Can this be used with a DISM mounted install.wim? If so, how?
I under editing the .cmd to change the /o to /p but 1. is that on both lines? 2.on which line in the path to the mounted image to be entered? 3. where does an offline entry go?
This tool works great after my target image has been created, however, when creating a reference image in Audit mode it fails to remove Contact Support. No errors are produced within the program, but Sysprep later fails due to the Contact Support app not being uninstalled for All Users. Is there a switch I can add in the command file to include all users?
Hi, Thank you for the very nice Solution. I was looking for this solution because I couldn’t find a solution for that particular issue.
I am running Windows 10 LTSB, I normally build a gold image (using dism) before using on the company, so all my changes are based on DISM. Is that possible to use this solution on an offline dism mounted Image?
Thank you.
Eden Oliveira
install_wim_tweak.exe /p [MountPath]
This will allow you to tweak the offline image.
Behind the scenes: Michal, a very, very good work indeed. Thank you very much.
Doesn’t remove it from the start menu? Shows up as @{Windows.Contact.Support_10.0… under “Other” when clicking “All apps”.
Yep, you can open your start menu folder and delete its shortcut.
There is no option to the delete the shortcut? Last time I checked there is no option to delete it. I don’t remember how to access that folder, so could you provide me with info on how to do that so I can check again?
To better describe my frustration.

Go to All Settings, System, Apps & features, Manage optional features. Find CONTACT SUPPORT. Manage and uninstall.
What does that mean that it allows you hide them from windows image WIM.
Does this tool uninstall cortana or hide only ?
I can’t download the file, it says 403 Forbidden
