Google Chrome will soon get a resource monitor dashboard that is similar to Microsoft Edge's "Browser Essentials". It allows the user to review performance-related settings at a glance.
As discovered by Leopeva64, its current implementation looks as follows.
As the image tells, it is simply called "Performance", and it is part of the sidebar. The new section is supposed to include Memory Saver and Battery Saver data. So it will display the stats the browser currently shows under the Performance tab in settings.
The 'Memory Saver' section will tell you how many tabs have been discarded. It will also show you an estimated percentage of memory savings from all discarded tabs.
Google is trying to enhance browser's security and performance by adding the new UI, accessible with a couple of clicks. In the same effort, Google enforces HTTPS in Chrome for all links. The company is yet to announce when the Performance dashboard will become available to the public.
