If you use the popular Google Chrome browser, you might be familiar with its built-in translation feature. It is enabled by default and allows you to translate some page which is not in your preferred language with one click to the language of your choice. It shows a bar on the top of your Chrome window with translate button. In recent versions of Google Chrome, there is a new user interface for the translator. It is disabled by default, but you can unblock it by performing these simple steps.
Here is how the new Translator Bubble UI looks:
To get it in your Chrome browser, you have to turn on the 'Enable the new Translate UX. Mac, Windows, Linux, Chrome OS' options inside the chrome://flags configuration of the browser. Follow these simple steps:
- Run the Google Chrome browser and type the following text in the address bar:
chrome://flags/#enable-translate-new-ux
- Click the Enable link under the option.
- Restart Google Chrome. You can use the Relaunch button which will appear at the bottom of the browser.
The next time you open some web site with a different language, and you'll get the new Bubble UI of the translator in Google Chrome.
