Microsoft has released a new Dev Channel build 104.0.1293.1 of the Edge browser. It doesn't include new features, but improves the existing functionality and reliability in both mobile and desktop versions.
Today's build must be the last release to the Dev channel from the 104 branch. The forthcoming releases are expected to be from the newer version 105, with version 104 hitting the Beta channel. That's why today's update is focused on improvements rather than on drastic changes.
What's new in Edge 104.0.1293.1
On mobile, Edge starts the Read Aloud page faster, and includes an updated speech settings. Also, it will no longer show a false upgrade alert when you open the "About Microsoft Edge" page.
On Desktop, it includes the following improvements:
- Improved browser so that changing between light or dark theme is smoother
- Improved the logic for image enhancement.
