Download Official Windows Command Reference For Over 250 Console Commands

Microsoft has released a document which covers more than 250 console commands available in Windows 10, Windows 8.1, and their server products. It is a 948 page PDF file called "Windows Command Reference".

While Windows comes with numerous ways to get help on a specific command, sometimes you don't know about the existence of a particular tool. Microsoft had a command reference for old versions of Windows as part of the built-in help and documentation but as help was moved online, it wasn't kept updated. Now once again, Windows has a document on all available commands.

The released document covers most console tools along with commands which can be recognized by the command line interpreter. For each command, you will find a brief description, its syntax and supported parameters, extra notes and links to official web pages with advanced tips.

Most of the commands covered in the document have usage examples.

It is worth mentioning that many of these commands are available in Windows 7, however, this is not listed in the document's details.

Also, the document doesn't include all available options for tools like Disk Cleanup or wuauclt.exe.

This document is definitely useful for users who would want to learn Windows console commands and their options. It is a great document to use as your reference documentation.
