Besides stable versions, Beta and Release Preview Insiders are getting their hands on a brand new 21H1 build 19043.985 (KB5003173). Also, today's patch set is notable for being released only for Windows 10 version 2004, 20H2 and 1909, and this is the final Patch Tuesday for the latter. That's because Windows 10 version 1909 reached its end of support.

KB5003173 for Windows 10 version 2004 and 20H2
Users running stable supported releases of Windows 10, version 2004 and version 20H2, are getting the KB5003173 patch that raises the build number to 19041.985 and 19042.985, respectively. The shared changelog looks as follows.
- Security updates to Windows App Platform and Frameworks, the Windows Kernel, Windows Media, the Microsoft Scripting Engine, and the Windows Silicon Platform.
- This update makes quality improvements to the servicing stack, which is the component that installs Windows updates. Servicing stack updates (SSU) ensure that you have a robust and reliable servicing stack so that your devices can receive and install Microsoft updates.

- Addresses an issue that might cause scroll bar controls to appear blank on the screen and not function. This issue affects 32-bit applications running on 64-bit Windows 10 (WOW64) that create scroll bars using a superclass of the USER32.DLL SCROLLBAR window class. This issue also affects HScrollBar and VScrollBar controls and classes derived from System.Windows.Forms.ScrollBar. A memory usage increase of up to 4 GB might occur in 64-bit applications when you create a scroll bar control.

All the above updates will be installed automatically on consumer devices.
It is also worth mentioning that today Windows 10 versions 1803 and 1809 will receive their final updates for Enterprise and Education SKUs. After that, only Windows 10 version 1809 will be supported in the Long-Term Servicing Channel.

Just FYI for anyone else experiencing this, KB5003173 will fail to install with a rather unhelpful error message if you’ve uninstalled Chromium Edge. You’ll need to reinstall Edge and retry.
