Microsoft has released a set of cumulative updates for Windows 10. Updates were released for all supported versions of the OS. Here are the changes.
Cumulative Updates for Windows 10, December 8, 2020
Windows 10, version 2004, Windows 10, version 20H2 - KB4592438 (OS Builds 19041.685 and 19042.685)
- Addresses a security vulnerability by preventing applications that run as a SYSTEM account from printing to "FILE:" ports. To address this issue in the future, make sure your applications or services run as a specific user or service account.
- Security updates to Microsoft Edge Legacy, the Microsoft Graphics Component, Windows Media, Windows Fundamentals, and Windows Virtualization.

- Windows 10, version 1809, KB4592440 (OS Build 17763.1637)

These come with the following highlights.
- Addresses an issue that prevents the PDF24 app, version 9.1.1, from opening .txt files.
- Addresses a security vulnerability by preventing applications that run as a SYSTEM account from printing to "FILE:" ports. To address this issue in the future, make sure your applications or services run as a specific user or service account.
- Security updates to the Microsoft Graphics Component and Windows Media, Windows Fundamentals, Windows Virtualization.

To download these updates, open Settings - > Update & recovery and click on the Check for Updates button on the right.
