Google's own browser, Chrome, is updated to version 59. Along with tons of security features, this release brings a number of new features including a refined appearance for the Settings page. Let's see what has changed in detail.
The most important change are security fixes. In this release, developers fixed 30 security issues in the browser. If you are a Chrome user, ensure that you have updated your browser to version 59 to avoid problems.

Google Chrome 59 features a new look for the Settings page. Here is how it looks:
It follows the Material Design language and looks quite touch-oriented. Spaces between controls and sections are notably larger than in previous versions of Settings. Controls are also changed from check boxes to Android-like sliders.
Besides these changes, Chrome 59 comes with new features in Developer tools. The updated tools can quickly show CSS and JavaScript loaded and used by an opened page. Another interesting feature is the ability to block the requested URL. It will allow developers to block certain resources like web fonts, CSS or JavaScript from being loaded and test what happens with the web site. This is a nice way to simulate an unreachable subdomain or a CDN.
Finally, Developers Tools in Chrome 59 will allow capturing a full page screenshot opened in the Mobile Emulator. Here is how it can be done.
To try out this new feature, do the following.
- Open Developer Tools. You can press F12 on the keyboard to open them.
- Once Developer Tools are open, press CTRL + SHIFT + M to launch the device toolbar.
- Click on the three dots button to see the menu. There select the item "Capture full size screenshot" and you are done.
You can download Chrome 59 from its official home page.
