Google Chrome 103 stable is out with significant changes to the page loading speed. It has been greatly improved thanks to the new prerendering technology.
The new Prerender2 mechanism replaces the earlier introduced NoState Prefetch page prefetching. The legacy one isn't capable to process dynamic content such as JavaScript.
Prerender2 can also render page parts in advance, and consumes less resources, especially memory. Google first rolls out it to the mobile version of Chrome, but you can enable it on Desktop to give it a try.
Once you updated to Chrome 103, enable the following three flags:

Besides the new prerendering feature, Chrome 103 supports AVIF files (.avif extensions) in Web Share, and allows web apps to load locally installed fonts. The latter is possible with help of a new Local Font Access API, with the user having to give a website the appropriate permission.
Finally, there are 14 security fixes.
Chrome installs updates automatically, without users' interaction. You can check which version you have installed by opening its menu (alt+f) > Help > About Google Chrome. This also trigger the update check if you have an outdated browser version. Also, one can download Chrome manually from the official web site. As an addition, there is also the Google Chrome MSI Installer for Windows. It is a full package for offline installation. But the offline installer doesn't support the automatic updates, so you'll have to update it manually every time Google releases a new version.
