Here's how to change Color Theme in Microsoft Edge.

Microsoft Edge comes with 14 built-in theme colors. The new option has become available in the browser starting in Microsoft Edge version 89.0.731.0. Using it, you can apply one of the offered colors to the browser window, its toolbar, tabs and the new tab page background.

The custom color theme feature works with the default Edge themes, which include the light, dark, and 'system default' options. The latter follows the app theme set in Personalization. By adding custom color themes, Microsoft has made the visual look of the Edge app more flexible and personal.

This post will show you how to set a custom accent Color in Microsoft Edge. Before proceeding. As mentioned above, we need to start with enabling the flag. If the Accent color feature is already available in your Edge browser, you can omit this step.

You are done. The feature is now enabled. Now you can use it to change the accent color to one of the predefined themes.

Change Color Theme in Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.
  2. Click on the menu button (Alt + F) and select Settings from the menu.
  3. On the left, click on Appearance. On the right side, scroll to the Themes section.
  4. Pick the desired theme from the grid of the available color themes.
  5. You can now close the Settings tab.

You are done!

Again, as of the moment of this writing, these colorful themes are only available in Dev and Canary Edge versions. However, it won't take Microsoft long to add them to the stable version of the browser.

Microsoft Edge is now a Chromium-based browser with a number of exclusive features like Read Aloud and services tied to Microsoft instead of Google. The browser has already received a few updates, with support for ARM64 devices. Also, Microsoft Edge is still supporting a number of aging Windows versions, including Windows 7. Finally, interested users can download MSI installers for deployment and customization.

  1. Is there a way to change different Edge windows to different colors? So, like one window of Edge would be purple and another window of Edge would be green?
