Windows 11’s Automatic Super Resolution is not exclusive to Qualcomm processors

Qualcomm clarified that the Automatic Super Resolution feature for Windows 11 is a Microsoft innovation and is separate from Snapdragon Game Super Resolution technology. This indicates that the feature is not restricted to devices utilizing Qualcomm processors and could potentially be available on other platforms down the line.

Windows 11 24H2 drops inbox support for the AC-3 codec

Microsoft has updated its official codec support page for the Windows operating system. According to the new information, version 24H2 will be the first OS version that comes without the inbox AC-3 Dolby Digital codec preinstalled. On versions of Windows prior to Windows 11, version 24H2, the AC-3 codec remains available.

Windows 11 24H2 will run x86 64-bit apps faster on ARM64

Last week there were plenty of device announcements from various vendors featuring Qualcomm's latest ARM  Snapdragon X Elite chip. The devices will run the Windows 11 on ARM operating system. Being labeled Copilot+ PCs, they boast impressive battery life and a range of unique features powered by artificial intelligence.

Automatic Super Resolution will be exclusive to Snapdragon X Elite devices

The newest feature of Windows 11 24H2, Automatic Super Resolution, will  apparently be available only Copilot+ devices powered by Snapdragon X Elite. Support for the classic x86 platform, and older Snapdragon X Plus chips has not yet been announced.

Windows 11 24H2 is now available in the Release Preview channel

Microsoft just made Windows 11 version 24H2 available to Insiders. Build 26100.712 is now an optional update for those who run the OS in the Release Preview channel. So you can manually check for updates in Windows Update and opt-in to install this new feature update.
