Microsoft is preparing to release the next set of features for Windows 11, referred as Moment 5 and February 2024 Update. The main focus will be on bringing the operating system into compliance with the Digital Markets Act (DMA) in the European Economic Area (EEA). The latter includes Edge removal and Widget news disabling options, along several others.
The Arcade instant games is now available to everyone

The December 1, 10000 date kills Windows 11
A Chinese researcher, known as Love Comparison, has discovered a simple method to kill Windows 11. By manually adjusting the system date and time using the BCDEdit (boot configuration data editor) to 23:59 on December 31, 9999, and waiting until the year 10,000 is reached, the operating system experiences significant malfunctions.
Windows 11 Home Page in Settings will promote Copilot subscriptions
Microsoft is adding a new card to the Home page in Settings. The new one will showcase a Copilot Pro subscription and its options. While it is a hidden addition as of now, it won't take the company long to make it available to the public.
Windows 11 Version 24H2 Appears in the Official Documentation
A recent discovery on Microsoft's official support page suggests that the next major update to Windows 11 may be referred to as Windows 11 version 24H2. It it one more confirmation that it won't be a brand new Windows 12 release. The mention of this new version was found on a deeply buried page on the Microsoft website dedicated to changes to the EnumDeviceDrivers function. It is related to the Process Status API (PSAPI). The page was last updated on January 29, 2024.
Linux sudo command is coming to Windows 11
Microsoft is currently testing the sudo command port from Linux to Windows 11 in insider builds. This command grants super user privileges for administrative tasks that a regular user cannot get done. To access the sudo command in Windows 11, users can enable it the developer options. On the Settings > System > For developers page, there is a set of options related to the tool.
Windows 11 Build 22635.3139 (Beta) fixes DWM and Task Manager issues
Windows 11 Build 22635.3139 is now available to insiders in the Beta channel. Its new features are only available to insiders with the Settings > Windows Update > Get the latest updates as soon as they are available option enabled. Here are the changes.
New Windows 11 setup UI is actually 10 years old
With build 26040, Microsoft introduced a new setup experience that looks fresh and re-arranges some of the elements in the UI. However, users quickly discovered that traces of this new interface go as far back as pre-release Windows 10 builds.
Windows 11 now removes WordPad on build upgrade
Microsoft is following their plan to kill WordPad in Windows 11. Earlier, build 26020 excluded the app from clean installs. The newer build 26040 now removes WordPad even if you do an upgrade.
