Microsoft has officially announced the general availability of hotpatching for 64-bit Arm (Arm64) architecture on Windows 11, version 24H2. This enables security patches to be applied without system restarts, significantly reducing downtime and making devices more secure.

Windows 11, version 23H2, Build 22631.5696 is out via (KB5062663) to Insider program participants in the Release Preview channel. It comes with fixes only, which are as follows.

Microsoft has released a new preview of Windows 11, version 24H2, Build  26100.4762 (KB5062660) to Insiders in the Release Preview ring. The update features several new features, including the improved Recall version, Click-To-Do,  AI agent in Settings, and much more.

In July 2025, according to data from the analytics firm StatCounter, Windows 11 has officially surpassed Windows 10 in global usage share within the Windows family of operating systems. This marks a significant milestone in Microsoft’s long-term transition strategy, nearly four years after the release of Windows 11.

Microsoft has released cumulative updates for all supported operating systems. The Patch Tuesday updates primarily focus on fixing discovered bugs and vulnerabilities, but may also include new features. The updates are now available in Windows Update.

Microsoft makes native Markdown formatting support in Notepad broadly available on Windows 11. It transforms the long-standing plain text editor into a more flexible writer tool capable of handling basic document formatting. Maybe this has been added as an excuse for the removed WordPad.

This week, Microsoft announced a new round of layoffs that will affect around 9100 employees across multiple divisions, including the Xbox teams, sales, and marketing. In total, the company will lay off more than 15,000 people through 2025.

Today, we will learn how to manage Clipboard History on Windows 11: enable, disable it, pin and unpin its items, and paste them as plain text. The clipboard history feature in Windows 11 allows users to store multiple items that have been copied, including text, HTML content, and images. Each entry is limited to a maximum size of 4 MB. The system retains up to 25 recent entries, with older ones being removed automatically unless they are explicitly pinned by the user.

Microsoft has released Windows 11 Build 27891 to Insiders using the Canary channel. Besides a good set of fixes, it comes with a drastic change. The good old PowerShell 2.0 is now a deprecated feature.

In earlier versions of Windows, such as Windows XP, users had the ability to change system-wide fonts for interface elements like menus, file explorer, and desktop icons through a simple graphical interface. However, this functionality has been removed from modern versions of Windows. In Windows 10 and Windows 11, there is no built-in setting to change the system font globally.
