Windows 11 Build 22635.3785 (Beta) adds Jump Lists to pinned apps in Start

Windows 11 Build 22635.3785 is a new release for Insiders on the Beta channel. With this update, the Start menu shows the jump lists for pinned Start menu apps. Microsoft delays the controversial Recall feature

Microsoft will be releasing its new Copilot Plus PCs next week, but without the controversial Recall feature that captures screenshots of user activities. The company has decided to hold off on including Recall in order to test it with the Windows Insider program. Initially, Microsoft had intended to offer Recall as an optional feature with enhanced security measures, but has now chosen to delay its launch.

Windows 11 to get new Generative AI page in Settings and Logon Animation

Windows 11 Build 26236 (Canary)  includes a few hidden features that aren't enabled by default. There is now a new Generative AI page in Settings that allows you to allow or deny applications access to generative AI introduced in Windows 11. Another change is a new logon animation that also says "welcome back" instead of just "welcome".

Windows 10 Build 19045.4593 (Beta & RP) improves the Windows Backup app

A new Windows 10 preview, Build 19045.4593 (KB5039299) is coming to Insiders on the Beta and Release Preview channels. Insiders on the Beta and Release Preview channels will receive the same builds of Windows 10, but the Beta channel will test new features that are in development and not yet ready for public distribution.

Windows 11 Builds 22631.3807/22631.3807 allow creating Tar and 7z archives

Microsoft rolls out a couple of builds to Windows 11 insiders on the release preview channel. Windows 11 Build 22621.3807 is coming for those who run version 22H2, and Build 22631.3807 applies to version 23H2. Both allow creating Tar and 7z archives, convert Copilot into a non-docked window, restore the show desktop taskbar button in the right corner, and more.
