Microsoft Edge Chromium Gets Tracking Prevention Settings

With a new Canary build, Microsoft is releasing an experimental preview of tracking prevention for Microsoft Edge. Starting in Edge Chromium it is possible to enable a and use a set of options which define how the browser will treat tracking cookies as you browse web sites.

Microsoft Edge Dev Channel is available for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1

Recently, Microsoft made their newest Chromium-based Edge browser available for Windows versions other than Windows 10. The company has released the Canary branch version for Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1. Today, the Dev branch is also became available to users of older Windows version.

As you may remember, Chrome includes a feature that allows using media keys on the keyboard to control the media content playback in the browser. When enabled, it allows using the Volume Up, Volume Down, or Mute media keys, you will see a special toast notification with buttons that you can use to control media playback. With a commit from a Microsoft developer, the notification now includes details about the YouTube video played in the browser.
