Cumulative Updates for Windows 10 July 16, 2018

Microsoft released a set of cumulative updates for a number of supported Windows versions 10. Here is the list of updates with their change logs.

The updates do not include any new features, but they include bug fixes and improvements.They are for PCs only. The following updates were released.

Windows 10 April 2018 Update, build KB4345421 (OS Build 17134.167)

  • Addresses an issue that may cause some devices running network monitoring workloads to receive the 0xD1 Stop error because of a race condition after installing the July update.
  • Addresses an issue with the DHCP Failover server that may cause enterprise clients to receive an invalid configuration when requesting a new IP address. This results in a loss of connectivity.
  • Addresses an issue that may cause the restart of the SQL Server service to fail occasionally with the error, “Tcp port is already in use”.
  • Addresses an issue that occurs when an administrator tries to stop the World Wide Web Publishing Service (W3SVC). The W3SVC remains in a "stopping" state, but cannot fully stop or it cannot be restarted.

  • Addresses an issue that occurs when an administrator tries to stop the World Wide Web Publishing Service (W3SVC). The W3SVC remains in a "stopping" state, but cannot fully stop or it cannot be restarted.

Also, Windows 10 Anniversary Update and the initial version of Windows 10, build 10240, have received their updates with the same change log.

  • KB4345455 (OS Build 10240.17918)

You can get these updates using Windows Update in Settings.  Alternatively, you can get them from the Microsoft Update Catalog and install them offline.

    1. The 1st one was “Cumulative security update” and this is just “Cumulative update”. No performance gains on 1803, still a lagging nightmare.
