As you may remember, Microsoft is ending support for Windows Subsystem for Android beginning March 5, 2025. However, a new update is now available to Insiders in the Release Preview channel. Microsoft is most likely improving security for WSA's existing users.
The release doesn't come with any notes, at least I was not able to find it. But since technical support will end until March 2025, Microsoft must be fixing a bug or close a vulnerability in the pre-release branch of WSA.
So, Insiders running a preliminary version the Windows Subsystem for Android are getting version 2407.40000.5.0. The stable version is still 2311.40000.5.0.
Microsoft has already eliminated many resources related to WSA. It is unlisted from the Store, and some of its online support page are now deleted.
Microsoft was about to offer WSA as one of the breakthrough features of Windows 11. It was capable to run Android apps on the Windows 11 desktop with Amazon AppStore as a source for apps. Besides, one could easily sideload an APK, and even install magicks.
However, the initial release was limited to specific regions, languages and countries. The limited set of apps available in the Amazon Store was not welcomed by users, so it failed to become popular.
Personally, I like the idea of WSA and it's a shame that Microsoft abandoned it.

Why not just M$ work with Google to improve WSA? Some developers are eager to test their Android apps to work on WSA, not just on other Android devices.
I don’t think M$ will bring Microsoft Store for WSA, or replace Google mobile apps with M$’ pre-installed likely on their Surface Duo.
For me, WSA wasn’t an option but it could have been gone better if Microsoft rolled it out to more countries, like Greece and Cyprus
