The Project feature (Win + P), which was introduced with Windows 7, is an amazing utility which allows you to share the screen between two monitors connected to your PC. When you connect an additional monitor, Windows automatically detects it and applies the video settings best suited to the monitor's display. With the Project pane in Windows 8.1, you can choose to mirror(duplicate) or extend your Desktop on all displays or or just use any one of them in exclusive mode. The Project pane is accessible by the Win + P shortcut, but if you prefer to work with the mouse, you can create a special shortcut for the Project pane in Windows 8.1 to open it with one click.

How to restore sites hidden from the New tab page in IE11

As you might be knowing, the Windows Experience Index (WEI) was removed from Windows 8.1. Microsoft left the WEI engine in the OS, but the UI was deleted from This PC/Computer properties. Recently, our good friends at IntoWindows reviewed the ChrisPC WEI tool. I looked at this tool but was disappointed that it didn't show the actual tests and assessments being done accurately. So I decided to code a better alternative myself with a nice looking, familiar UI. With WPF, it was a quite simple task.

Fix: Start screen search is very slow in Windows 8.1

[Bug] Microsoft Surface is unable to connect to Wi-Fi
One of my friends, a lucky owner of the Microsoft Surface tablet, has discovered a annoying bug in his device. When the Wi-Fi signal is not stable or suddenly disappears, the device behaves strangely: once the Wi-Fi signal is lost, it tries to connect, but ends up losing the ability to connect to ANY Wi-fi network. The other unfortunate thing is that this behavior of being unable to reconnect to any wireless connection is not limited to this particular case.
