At Build 2024, Microsoft will shed some light on Windows on ARM and inbox AI

Microsoft has unveiled a lineup of scheduled sessions for the upcoming Build 2024 conference, with a particular focus on the "next generation of Windows on ARM" and the "all-new Windows AI feature."

The sessions will delve into the performance of devices powered by the new ARM processor Snapdragon X Elite in tandem with the latest version of Windows on ARM. Rumors suggest that Microsoft is confident that these devices will outperform the MacBook Air with the Apple M3 processor in both CPU performance and AI task processing speed.

There will also be discussions on the capabilities of Neural Processing Units (NPUs) in chips from Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm, and how developers can leverage them in their projects.

Another session will spotlight the new Windows AI features that promise to enhance the digital experience on Windows with advanced AI capabilities. The AI Explorer feature, akin to an advanced version of Copilot with a built-in timeline, is anticipated to be a standout feature.

Attendees can also expect discussions on creating plugins for Copilot, updates to Windows Terminal, Dev Home, PowerToys, Windows Subsystem for Linux, and more at Build 2024.
