AdDuplex has published a new report on the market share of different versions of Windows. According to the new data, in March 2022, Windows 11 usage actually stopped growing.
The market segmentation report built with the data collected from 5000 Store apps using the AdDuplex SDK. The actual numbers are probably somewhat different. Not every Windows Device runs apps from the Store.
But AdDuplex's monthly reports are the only data source for tracking Windows version market share. Unfortunately, Microsoft doesn't provide any official stats about Windows usage.
Windows 11
At the moment, the latest operating system from Redmond takes 19.4% of the market, while a month earlier its share was 19.3%.
The number of Windows Insiders running Windows 11 increased twice from 0.3% in February to 0.6% in March.
Windows 10
Speaking about its predecessor, Windows 10, its most popular version is now the November 2021 Update, version 21H2. It has got 7.5% more in a month and reached 28.5% of the user base.
Windows 10 May 2021 Update (version 21H1), which held the lead for a long time, moved to second place with a share of 26.5% (it was 27.5%).
The third place is taken by Windows 10, version 20H2 with 10.8% (down from 17.9%).
Finally, old unsupported Windows versions keep 2.4%.

I’m rolling back to Windows 10. There’s too much I don’t like about Windows 11. There are still a few years left on Windows 10. I’ll probably leave Windows forever after that.
I only have Windows on 1 computer today. Everyone else is already running GNU/Linux. So no major losses.
After crippling the Bing default search engine, moving the installed Edge browser to a “D” volume from “C”, deleting or disabling the spyware, tweaking the registry, and replacing some functions with 3rd party versions that I prefer to use, I like Win 11, especially now that I don’t have to use VBox or VPlayer to run some Linux distros within the OS. Going to add Android next. Having a powerful new ASUS 2 TB SSD 32 GB memory laptop makes a big difference, compared to what I was using last year. (3 GB memory 256 GB SATA HP laptop that I refused to sink another dime of $ into).
