The latest monthly report from AdDuplex is now available with fresh data about the Windows market. November 2021 report reveals Windows 11 continues climbing the ladder at a steady pace.
To gather the latest data about the Windows market segmentation, AdDuplex surveyed around 60,000 computers. Of course, that is not the most accurate survey, considering there are more than 1 billion Windows computers. Since Microsoft does not provide official data about Windows fragmentation, developers need to work with less accurate data from AdDuplex.
AdDuplex: Windows 11 market share, November 2021
According to November 2021 report from AdDuplex, Windows 11 currently holds 8.6% of all Windows 10 PCs. In November 2021, the latest operating system from Microsoft managed to almost double its figures and go up from 4.8% to 8.6% (+3.8 points).
Not so long ago, Microsoft said its data shows consistently high numbers of positive update experiences, which, in turn, allowed the company to increase the rollout pace. As a result, more users receive a notification with an offer to download Windows 11 via Windows Update.
Windows 10 21H1 remains the most popular Windows version with 36.3% (down from 37.6% in October 2021). Windows 10 20H2 is in second place with 31.8% (down from 34% in October 2021), and Windows 10 2004 is third with 11% (down from 14.1%). The number of Windows Insiders remains unchanged at 0.3%, and old, unsupported Windows versions keep 8.3%.
This month, Microsoft also released Windows 10 21H2—a minor "feature update" for systems that remain on Windows 10. The newest version of Windows 10 currently holds 3.7%. You can learn more about Windows 10 21H2 here.
