Windows 11 now allows controlling RGB lighting of peripheral devices

Yet another hidden novelty in Windows 11 Build 25295 in the Dev channel makes it easier to customize the RGB lighting of peripherals. You will no longer need to install a third-party software for that. There are native options for that in a dedicated section in Settings. This feature  will likely be officially revealed within a year.

Following the Windows 11 activation dialog, its troubleshooter has also got a new design

Earlier in build 25281, Microsoft has updated the "Enter product key" window with a new design to mach the look and feel of Windows 11. The most recent release in the Dev channel, Build 25295, adds one more design change, again related to the activation system. The Activator Troubleshooter has been finally updated with the latest version of Fluent Design. Windows Subsystem for Android 2301.40000.4.0 greatly improves performance on x64 and ARM

Microsoft has released a new version 2301.40000.4.0 of Windows Subsystem for Android. The new WSA includes performance improvements that increase framerate up to 50% on 64-bit processors, and up to 20% on ARM devices.

Windows 11 Build 22623.1255 (Beta) adds tabs to Notepad

Microsoft has released a pair of preview builds to Insiders in the Beta channel. Builds 22621.1255 and 22623.1255 are now available to Windows 11 22H2 with the KB5022918 patch. Windows 11 Build 25295 (Dev) allows to quickly copy 2FA codes from notifications

Microsoft has released Windows 11 build 25295 to Insiders in the Dev channel. The release is bringing up with it the ability to quickly copy two-factor authentication codes from notification toasts, makes the new taskbar Search available to everyone, and also includes a good number of fixes and general improvements. Microsoft officially retires MSDT and some legacy Windows troubleshooters

Earlier, we reported that Microsoft was about to retire Microsoft Support Diagnostic Tool, based on a hidden banner added to the app in Insider builds of Windows 11. The company has finally confirmed the change, and also revealed that they will also discontinue some of the classic troubleshooters. The latter include Speech and Keyboard troubleshooters, and  more.

Paint has got an updated Image Properties dialog in the Dev channel

Insiders who run Windows 11 in the Dev channel started to receive a newer Paint app. While it doesn't bring with it any drastic UI change, there is an updated properties dialog. How to add RTF Rich Text Document to the New menu in File Explorer

Starting in Windows 11 version 22H2, the RTF Document has disappeared from the New menu in File Explorer. If you frequently create Rich Text documents, the missing item can be an inconvenience. The Beta channel has received Windows 11 Builds 22621.1250 and 22623.1250

Microsoft has released new preview builds of Windows 11, version 22H2, to Insiders in the Beta channel. They come with KB5023008; Build  22623.1250  includes new features, while Build 22621.1250  has new features disabled by default.
