HEIF is the next-generation image container format to succeed and hopefully replace JPEG. It leverages HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding compression) to encode image data. While over the years, many superior or modernized image formats have appeared to replace JPEG, none have succeeded because of lack of ubiquitous support in various software. HEIF is from the Motion Picture Experts Group and its use is subject to licensing of patents. MPEG has standardized several audio and video compression formats over the last many decades - some popular examples being MPEG-2, MP3, H.264 and HEVC (H.265) among several others. Microsoft has introduced a new MSIX packaging format
Today, during the Windows Developer Day event, Microsoft has announced a new app format. The format is called "MSIX file". It combines the features of Store apps and the classic MSI file packaging format. The new MSIX format will support all types of Windows apps including Desktop apps (Win32), .NET apps and Store (UWP) apps.

ShareX screen capturing tool is now available in the Windows Store
Windows 10 has more than enough options for making a screenshot with built-in features: from the recently introduced Win+Shift+S keyboard shortcut and Screen sketch in Windows Ink to the more traditional ones like Snipping tool and PrtScreen, Alt+PrtScreen and Win+PrtScreen hotkeys. However, some people prefer an integrated solution that handles everything from capturing, editing to sharing. OneDrive History is Finally Available For All Files
OneDrive has a really useful feature called "Version History". It allows the user to restore previous (older) versions of files you store in Microsoft's cloud storage. Earlier, this feature was available only for Microsoft Office documents, but now it is going to be unlocked for all files.
