Winaero Tweaker 1.62Winaero Tweaker is a free app for all versions of Windows that lets you adjust (i.e. tweak) hidden secret settings that Microsoft does not let you adjust from the user interface. In addition, it allows you to add extra value to existing Windows apps and tools with advanced context menus, options, and handy commands.

It is a powerful system utility that supports Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, and Windows 11 and includes hundreds of settings. It also includes many options that were earlier available exclusively in my standalone applications.

Windows 11 Build 22635.3570 (Beta) introduces the Duplicate tab option in Explorer

Windows 11 Build 22635.3570 is now available to Insiders in the Beta channel. It adds the 'Duplicate tab' to the File Explorer's tab context menu, and also includes plenty of fixes.

Windows 11 24H2 reaches the Dev channel with Build 26120.461

Microsoft today released a new Insider preview build 26120.461 with KB5037009. The Dev channel now receives updates from the based on Windows 11, version 24H2 via an enablement package (Build 26120.xxxx). Some of the features will become available gradually. Similarly to the Beta channel, you can enable the Get the latest updates as soon as they're available  option in Settings > Windows Update to get them faster. More Chrome users now see the annoying Bing promotion

Recently, users of Windows 10/11 who use Google Chrome have reported seeing pop-up ads promoting Bing on the right side of their browsers. While some initially thought it was malware, it was actually part of a new Microsoft campaign. Now the company is rolling out it to more languages and regions. Microsoft won’t fix the WinRE error that doesn’t fit the recovery partition

Microsoft has announced that they will not fix the error 0x80070643, ERROR_INSTALL_FAILURE caused by the big size of WinRE that no longer fits the recovery partition. The company didn't provide any automation solution or any other kind of fix. So affected users have to manually resize the partition or reinstall the OS to continue to receive future updates. After latest Patch Tuesday updates, VPN doesn’t work properly on Windows 11/10

Microsoft has officially confirmed a new bug in both Windows 11 and Windows 10. Windows 11 Build 22631.3447 (KB5036893) and Windows 10 Build 19045.4291 (KB5036892), released on April 9, are now affected by a VPN issue when the connection just fails. OneDrive web version can now work offline mode

Microsoft is rolling out the offline mode for the web version of OneDrive. Currently, it is only available to users with work or school accounts. The offline work allows opening locally downloaded files that you made available offline earlier. Besides, it allows working with the home page and the “Favorites” section. You can now create TAR and 7z archives in latest Windows 11 Beta

In addition to the tab duplicate option, the latest Beta build 22635.3566 of Windows 11 may surprise you with the ability to create 7z and TAR archives. It is part of the Compress to menu in File Explorer. However, it is still a work-in-progress, so the new options are still hidden. But by following the below steps, you can enable and test them.
