Winaero Tweaker 1.63Winaero Tweaker is a free app for all versions of Windows that lets you adjust (i.e. tweak) hidden secret settings that Microsoft does not let you adjust from the user interface. In addition, it allows you to add extra value to existing Windows apps and tools with advanced context menus, options, and handy commands.

It is a powerful system utility that supports Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, and Windows 11 and includes hundreds of settings. It also includes many options that were earlier available exclusively in my standalone applications.

Windows 11 Build 22635.4225 (Beta) allows changing what the Copilot key does

Microsoft has rolled out a new preview build of Windows 11 (version 23H2), labeled 22635.4225 (KB5043186), for participants in the Windows Insider program's Beta channel. A significant change in this update is the ability to change what the hardware Copilot key does, e.g. to make it open a different Store app. It also adds Phone Link to the right-click menu in File Explorer, and includes several fixes. Windows 11 Build 26120.1843 (Dev) adds a prominent Sign out option to Start

Microsoft has released Windows 11 Build 26120.1843 (KB5043185) to  Insiders in the Dev channel. This build is released as a checkpoint cumulative update. Some of its features are becoming gradually in waves, so you may want to adjust your Windows Update settings. Microsoft has released the stable version of Microsoft Edge 129, version 129.0.2792.52 which comes with a huge number of fixes and improvements. In addition, the developers have removed the CryptoWallet function and dropped support for aged macOS versions.

Microsoft has announced the launch of a Windows app for Windows PCs, as well as macOS, iOS, iPadOS, web browsers, and Android devices. This app serves as a platform for streaming a Windows image from various sources, such as Windows 365, Azure, Remote Desktop, and more.

Microsoft May Have Accidentally Revealed Windows 11 24H2 Release Date

Microsoft has detailed changes to Microsoft Copilot that will soon be available to customers on the techcommunity forum. The message states that the changes are aligned with the annual feature update for Windows 11 and will begin rolling out to customers on October 8, 2024. PowerToys might get a scheduler that changes Windows settings

There is a suggestion for a PowerToys new tool that could become as a nice addition to Windows Task Scheduler. It would allow changing OS settings with ease via a friendly GUI. The module, with a working name Settings Scheduler, would allow changing the Windows theme, mute and unmute the sound, turn the screen on or off, and so on. Microsoft drops support for many email apps in its Outlook for web

Microsoft no longer supports basic authentication for the Outlook email service. So email apps that can only work with a username and password via IMAP and POP3 aren't supported any more. The OAuth 2.0 tokens are the only method supported for apps. This affects a galore of software, including Microsoft's own Outlook 2007, Outlook 2010, Outlook 2013, Outlook 2016 MSI, Outlook 2019 LTSC - all these versions are now obsolete.

Windows 10 Build 19045.4955 hits Beta and Release Preview channels with fixes

Microsoft has released a new preview of Windows 10, Build 19045.4955 (KB5043131) for Windows Insider program participants in the Beta and Release Preview channels. The update is notable for several fixes. The company also claims that the Beta channel will be used for testing new features, however, those aren't included in KB5043131.
